DLR e.V. Building 5
The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. is building a multi-storey administration building at its site in Cologne-Porz. The new building will have an effective floor area of around 9,300 m2 and become a new and innovative workplace for 450 employees. In addition, archives, a printing shop and a photo laboratory are to be created.
The proposed new building should provide for optimization of energy-efficiency and sustainability by means of resource-conserving construction methods and the introduction of regenerative energy systems. At the same time, the future workspace efficiency of the employees should be ensured through the best-possible assignment of organizational units. The objective is to construct a building that is ecologically and economically efficient over its life-cycle and which provides its users with a high degree of functionality. In order to document the building’s sustainability standards, the award of a BNB certificate will be pursued for the new building.
The measure will be grant-aided by the federal and state governments.
We have provided support for the project since the design phase for the administration building.
